Creating, Uploading, and Using Assets, and Building Your Asset Library
Every Orchestrate account includes a Digital Asset Management system we call the Asset Library. This is where you'll upload the videos, images, sound effects, and other files you and your authors need for creating Orchestrate Experiences. In our latest tutorial we review the Asset Library, we share some recommendations for hardware and software you'll need for capturing 360 videos, and we introduce the ways in which you'll use assets in the experience builder. In Case You Missed It: Horizon Managed Services is Here, and You Will Need an Action Plan
With version 74, Meta has fully rebooted what was once Oculus for Business to create Horizon Managed Services. Somewhat uncomfortably, this move comes with new rules that restrict what software can be installed onto Quest devices, limiting providers like ArborXR and ManageXR from being installed unless device owners also sign up (and pay for) Horizon Managed Services. Our partner, ArborXR, has put together an excellent blog post explaining the changes. Have you developed your strategy for HMS yet? Need help weighing your options? We're here to help.
Looking for an alternative to Quest and the Meta Platform? Checkout HTC VIVE
Frustrated by Meta's new platform fees in Horizon Managed Services? Concerned about bringing your organization closer to Meta's ecosystem? We understand! Great news: Orchestrate is compatible with HTC VIVE standalone headsets. While more expensive than Meta's headsets, HTC VIVE headsets are designed with business use cases (like training) in mind: they are more secure, have higher resolution and wider field of view, and can be managed using ArborXR without any additional platform surcharges (like Meta HMS).
